About the trip:
We all arrive on a Thursday afternoon. It’s REALLY important that we stay together, so we book all the flights (your registration includes a $500 airfare credit!). From that point forward, you’re our hostage. We’ll put you on a bus and show you around the mainland. If you’re good, we’ll feed you. Just kidding. We actually eat pretty well. And almost all your meals are included in the registration. As is the bus, the hotels, your binder, all the sessions, the boat tours, etc. But we don’t buy your drinks. Well, we’ll buy you water. We might even toss in a beer or two if you’re so inclined.
We’ll talk about the government and legal system, the economy and financial system (including important information about off-shore banking – Belize is one of the most private banking centers in the world), the history, demographics and geography; the weather, tourism (we’ll take you to the country’s top tourist destination), culture and cuisine; and of course, the real estate market, lending and local practices. We’ll introduce you to some of our many contacts and you’ll have ample opportunity to ask lots of questions.
This is NOT a “Fly and Buy” trip, so leave your real estate checkbook at home. However, we will look at lots of different types of property, meet local agents and developers, and discuss how deals can get put together. If you want to do business with anyone, that will be on your own after the trip is over. No high pressure selling on this trip! That would ruin the whole experience.
